The Horizon Thespians performed the opening number at the Colorado State Thespian conference and numerous competition pieces on the paramount Theatre Stage in downtown Denver. Oliver! Opened on Broadway at the Imperial Theatre on January 6, 1963, and ran for 774 performances, based on the Charles Dickens story, "Oliver Twist."
